The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning‘s Brown Bag Lecture Series is presented each semester at the college’s campuses and centers. Weekly free lectures and presentations offer attendees the opportunity to hear fascinating stories and learn about a wide array of topics in a no-pressure environment.

This semester, lectures are presented on Mondays at the Benson Center, Tuesdays at the Douglas Government Center, located at 1012 N. G Ave., and Wednesdays at the Sierra Vista Campus in room 702. All lectures are from 12:10 to 1 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.

• “Friends of the San Pedro”
Monday, Oct. 7, Benson Center
Robert Weissler, Executive Director of the Friends of the San Pedro, an organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of the San Pedro River and Riparian area, will talk about the work and projects of the FSPR.

• “My Summer in China”
Tuesday, Oct. 8, Douglas Government Center, 1012 N. G Avenue
Rebecca Orozco, Cochise College History and Anthropology Instructor, was selected to the Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program over the summer 2013. Orozco will share her once-in-a-lifetime experience of a month in China in lecture and pictures.

• “River of Life”
Wednesday, Oct. 9, Sierra Vista Campus, room 702
Bob Luce, longtime wildlife biologist and published author, will share his latest publication of a photo/essay book, “River of Life, Four Seasons along Arizona’s Rio San Pedro.” You will experience the beauty of this area as you have never before witnessed.
