The Cochise College women’s soccer team opens its new season at the Douglas Campus this Friday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. when it faces Gateway Community College. The team welcomes nine new freshman, and head coach Chas Frisco is excited to start the season.
“We have a fine group of returners to lead our freshmen, and finally seeing them play together in a match will be fun,” said Frisco. “I’m pleased that we have a large number of players from Southern Arizona. I want to showcase local talent as well as talent from other regions.”
The women will be holding a meet and greet this Thursday at 3 p.m. on the lawn outside of the Student Union on the Sierra Vista Campus. This year’s schedules available.
