Douglas — Cochise College Apaches
The Apaches earn another win Tuesday night 97-52 over NNMC. The team had a slow start as NNMC jumped out to a 15-8 lead. The Apaches fought back and took a 22-19 lead on a 3 point jump shot by Arell Hennings, and they never looked back.
At half time Cochise led the game by 42-28. During the second half, the Apaches pulled away and won by 45. Jawan Stepney led the way with 28 points and 6 rebounds. Fellow sophomores, Arell Hennings and Justin Jones, added 14 points with 7 assists and 18 points with 5 rebounds respectively.
The Apaches have back-to-back games Friday and Saturday against Hillcrest and NNMI—Fridays tips off at 7:00PM while Saturday is a 4:00 tip.
