p conference opener this past Wednesday. Cochise College traveled to Mesa CC for the conference opener against the Mesa T-Birds. The Apaches led at half-time by one but couldn’t finish the game losing 92-86. Justin Jones and Jeff Long led the Apaches in scoring with 17 points each.
The Apaches improved this past Saturday 6-1 against Tohono O’odham (107-82). The Apaches led 66-44 at half-time with Justin Jones making 6 three-point jump shots in the first half. Jones finished with 31 points making 8 threes. Arell Hennings chipped in 20 points and 6 assists while Chaz Mack finished the game with 12 points and 7 rebounds. The Apaches will host Chandler-Gilbert on Tuesday, November 24 with tip-off at 7:30PM.
