Cochise College is now accepting nominations for its fifth Hall of Fame class. The induction will take place in November 2019.
The Hall of Fame honors former students, community leaders, and faculty/staff who have made a significant contribution to the mission and goals of Cochise College, or who have contributed in a significant way to the lives of others after being a part of the Cochise College community. The first review of nominees takes place in mid-March, and the final nomination deadline is June 30, 2019.
The Hall of Fame includes 33 members. Moving forward, the college would like to receive more nominations of alumni, and it has streamlined the nomination process to make that easier.
“Celebrating the stories of alumni who are making a difference allows the college to honor achievements and share our mutual story of success,” said Denise Hoyos, executive director of college advancement and the Cochise College Foundation. “Many alumni reside locally and beyond, but as an organization, we don’t know their success stories very well, and we could use the public’s help in documenting them.”
Nomination information and forms are available at the Hall of Fame webpage. To nominate an individual, nominators need to provide their contact information and a description of how they know the nominee, information about the nominee’s professional background, and the reason he/she is nominating the individual. Information about community service and awards also is helpful.
Self-nominations and nominations of current employees will not be accepted.
