DOUGLAS – The Cochise College rodeo team is gearing up for its only home competition during the fall season this weekend at the annual Cochise County Fair.
Cochise College will compete against about 10 teams from within and outside of its region, as well as individuals, this weekend and is looking to bounce back from a sluggish start in its season-opening rodeo last week against Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari, N.M. The Cochise men finished fifth out of six teams and the women were fourth, led by a first-place barrel racing finish from Kassidy Dennison of New Mexico.
Cochise head coach Kelly Slover said there will be a little more pressure on the Apaches to do well at this weekend
