Register by Dec. 16 for a chance to win an Apple watch

The Cochise College Foundation will host a wellness activity in the New Year to raise funds for the Senior Scholarship and Non-Traditional Student Scholarship programs. Both programs benefit Cochise County residents enrolling at Cochise College.

The Pathway to $100k Challenge is a virtual run/walk in which participants register online, receive an event shirt and other items, have the chance to win prizes, and record the miles they walk or run, anywhere in the world, during March 2021.

Participants who register by Dec. 16, 2020, will be entered into a drawing to win an Apple watch. The last day to register and be guaranteed a shirt is Feb. 14, 2021. However, participants can register or donate after that date.

Alumnus-owned business PVB Fabrications of Tucson joins American Southwest Credit Union as a title sponsor. PVB is owned by Peter Van Bogaert (’92), a Douglas native who played baseball at Cochise. The company employs more than 400 people.

“It is our pleasure to help the college and its students as we can,” Van Bogaert said. “We have been blessed this year and are grateful for the opportunity and ability to help.”

On behalf of students, we thank all of the sponsors who have stepped forward to help make education accessible so far.”
