FORT HUACHUCA – Freshman rodeo team member Stormi Olaiz was the featured reader Saturday at Fort Huachuca’s first Blue Star Families Books on Bases event.

The Phoenix native read the book “H is for Honor” to more than 150 kids who attended the program, which is aimed to promote literacy for children of military families.

“I love being on the Cochise rodeo team and I am excited to represent the team and school in such a positive way,” Olaiz said prior to Saturday morning. “I like being around kids and I hope I can be someone they look up to after this event.”

Each of the five athletic teams at Cochise College prides itself on community service it provides throughout the year, mostly at local schools and events that involve motivating children. Olaiz, who is majoring in agriculture, was asked by Cochise rodeo coach Kelly Slover if she
