The Cochise College baseball team traveled to Tucson on Saturday, April 24, to take on Pima Community College. Cochise turned the ball over to Freshman RHP Nate Rohlicek for the start. Rohlicek took the loss for the Apaches while throwing six innings and allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out five hitters. Cochise trailed 1-0 before tying it up in the top of the sixth inning. Pima answered back with two of their own in the bottom half of the sixth, taking the lead 3-1. Cochise failed to respond and lost the game 3-1. Hernan Yanez, Aaron Marsh and Eduarny Martinez all had hits in the game for Cochise.
In game two of the doubleheader, Ismail Pontiac started for Cochise. The Apaches trailed early and never got on the board, dropping game two with a score of 10-0. Pontiac lasted two and a third innings allowing two runs on five hits. Connor Caskanette, Eduarny Martinez, Wilfredo Matos and Ethan Silcox all had a hit for Cochise.
