Apaches continue to reach out to the community.
The Cochise College men’s basketball team visited Loretto Catholic School on Friday, Oct. 29, to cap off Red Ribbon week for the Douglas community.
Red Ribbon Week is celebrated October 25-29. During this time, Loretto School celebrated and promoted a drug-free environment in our community of Douglas, Ariz. Special presentations were provided by the Cochise County Health Department, Customs and Border Protection, Douglas Police Department, Douglas City Council Member Jose Grijalva, and the Cochise College Basketball Team.
“It was great to listen and see our young men speak and interact with the students at Loretto School,” said Head Coach Jerry Carrillo. “We would like to thank the faculty and staff of Loretto and Mrs. Joanna Ortiz for inviting us out to spend some time with the students. It was a great day.”
Next, the Cochise College men’s basketball team will host a home game on Tuesday, Nov. 2. The play against Taylor Made Prep Post Grad Tip-off is at 7 p.m. Fans are welcome to come to cheer and support our team!
