#24 Cochise College men’s basketball team stays on top of ACCAC with a big home win in front of a great crowd in the Stronghold Gymnasium.
After a very upsetting loss to ACCAC opponent Scottsdale CC, the NJCAA DI #24 Cochise College Apaches returned to their winning ways in a big way, with a lopsided 43 point win over the T-Birds of Mesa CC.
Cochise jumped out to a 59-17 halftime lead and never looked back. The men’s basketball team was led again by the 2021 ACCAC Player of the Year Stephen “Tank” Byard, who posted another double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. Newcomer Jay Rodgers poured in 20 points in the blowout win for Cochise. Freshman Tyreese Watson had a game-high 22 points in the blowout win for the Apaches.
Cochise moves to 20-2 and 11-1 in ACCAC play.
