Cochise College and American Leadership Academy Virtual partner and offer concurrent high school students Early College opportunities with ALA Virtual @Cochise College collaboration.
Cochise College is pleased to announce a new Early College program and partner with American Leadership Academy (ALA) Virtual to provide their high school students with a seamless early college experience.
“We (Cochise College) want to find additional pathways that will lead high school students into meaningful careers and continuing education, said Dr. J.D. Rottweiler, Cochise College President, during a public announcement. “Today, we are introducing our Early College initiative.”
ALA Virtual@ Cochise College is an Early College program that allows concurrently enrolled ALA Virtual high school students to begin their college experience successfully at Cochise College tuition-free. ALA will cover tuition and fees. A Learning Center will be at the Cochise College Sierra Vista Campus, where ALA Virtual@ Cochise College students can work on schoolwork, meet with an ALA staff member or tutor and receive other support services.
“We are very excited to have formed this partnership with Cochise College,” said Dr. Jeremi Brewer, ALA Virtual Director. “One thing that this new system of online, in-person, independent learning style allows a young student to quickly adapt to a hybrid learning common in colleges and universities. It is really cool and special to offer 9-12 grade students an early college opportunity to find a path that fits them.”
This partnership allows a successful high school student, college student and citizen to begin building a love of education early in life to jump-start their higher education journey.
