Tad C. Miller, a student in Cathy Murphy’s digital arts class last fall, received honorable mention in Photographer’s Forum magazine’s 31st annual college photography contest.
Miller, a watercolor artist and photographer who resides in Bisbee, submitted the photo entitled Raven Ridge, which she had taken on the East Coast and learned to enhance using computer software. The entry was among nearly 14,000 submitted to the contest. It will be listed in the May/Summer 2011 issue of the magazine. Winning photographs also will be published in the Best of College Photography 2011.
Miller has degrees in interior design and photography. Her experience includes rodeo and still life photography, and she enjoys photographing Old Route 66 neon. Her watercolors are currently on display in the Andrea Cracchiolo Library on the Sierra Vista Campus.
