Cochise College leadoff hitter Nate Hale was named the Hitter of the Week among Division I schools in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference, announced Monday.
In games against South Mountain on April 9 and Eastern Arizona on April 13, Hale went 10 for 15 in his at-bats, including a double and a triple, with six RBIs. The Apaches won three of the four games, helping them move to the top of the conference standings.
Previously this season, Cochise’s Esteban Bastidas was named the conference’s Hitter of the Week on Feb. 25 for hitting 9 of 14 at the plate with six RBIs and eight runs scored as Cochise went 4-0 the previous week against Central Arizona and Glendale.
