Community members are invited to attend a series of free workshops to assist in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Organized by Cochise College, these Community FAFSA Nights are designed to support college students, high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall of 2024 and their parents.
The workshops will be staffed with Cochise College professionals who are equipped to offer guidance in navigating the FAFSA and scholarship application processes. These events present a valuable opportunity for attendees to receive personalized professional assistance, ensuring that potential financial aid and scholarships are within reach for aspiring college students.
Community FAFSA Nights are as follows:
- Benson: Tuesday, January 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Benson High School Multipurpose Room (Cafeteria), located at 360 S. Patagonia Street, Benson
- Sierra Vista: Tuesday, February 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cochise College Sierra Vista Campus Library, 901 N. Colombo Ave., Sierra Vista
- Valley Union: Thursday, February 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Valley Union High School Computer Lab, 4088 W. Jefferson Rd, Elfrida
- Douglas: Thursday, February 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Douglas Public Library, 560 E. 10th Street, Douglas
- Willcox: Wednesday, February 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cochise College Willcox Center, 470 N. Bisbee Ave., Willcox
The FAFSA is for students seeking financial aid for higher education and is an essential step in securing funding for college. Participants can gain insights and assistance to complete their applications by attending these workshops.
