Engineering Community Night, a STEM Pathways Presentation, is set for Thursday, Nov. 3 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Student Union of the Cochise College Sierra Vista Campus. High school students, college students, community leaders and local company representatives are all welcome.
The evening will provide information about:
• Running Start Academy: This afternoon program for 11th and 12 graders is designed to give students a jump start towards a traditional engineering degree. It is possible to earn 32 math, science and engineering credits prior to high school graduation. All courses articulate to the University of Arizona, Arizona State University or Northern Arizona University.
• METS (Motivated Engineering Transfer Student) Pathway: Designed for all engineering students at Cochise. Find out about available scholarships while attending Cochise, seamless transfers to ASU and possible TAG agreements.
• Mechatronics: An engineering technology industry certification program that focuses on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and computerized technology systems. Students can also earn Siemens Certification.
