SIERRA VISTA — The Student Government Association of Sierra Vista hosted its second annual Haunted Union event Friday, Oct. 28, with nearly double the turnout as last year.

This year’s Haunted Union saw more than 600 costumed people of all ages come through the inside and outside of the Student Union, which was transformed into a haunted house on the second floor, a game and activity site on the main floor and a dance floor outside the front doors.

Haunted Union is a fundraiser for Cochise College clubs. Attendees used tickets to play games or get food, and the more tickets a club’s food or game booth took in, the more money it got back. Participants who brought in canned food to be donated received extra tickets.

Phi Theta Kappa: Alpha Mu Zeta’s booth of caramel apples brought in more than $500 for the group.

Last year, there were 350 Haunted Union attendees and SGA collected pennies to be donated to the Holocaust Museum.
