SIERRA VISTA — Cochise College will recognize student achievement and invite future students and community members to the Sierra Vista Campus to find out more about local community college opportunities during Celebrate Cochise College Week, April 15-20.
Meet Your Major kicks off the week-long festivities at 9:30 a.m. April 16 in the Student Union. The second annual event brings high school students to campus to learn about the college’s programs and partnerships.

Meet Your Major also includes a Transfer Fair for current students from 10 a.m. to noon in the Library commons area. Students can review degree plan options with advisers and meet university and military representatives to prepare for life after Cochise.

The annual Arts and Music Festival will also be held on April 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the west end of campus. The event spotlights music ensembles, artwork, digital media projects and other liberal arts activities.
On April 17, the Student Government Association of Sierra Vista will host a Club and Student Showcase in the Student Union. Several campus clubs and classes will be on hand to display their projects from the academic year, including a cooking demonstration by the Cochise Culinarians.
The Honors Colloquium will be the featured event on April 18. The annual colloquium celebrates scholarship, leadership and creativity of students, who will give individual and group presentations about the honors projects they completed during the year. Members of the community are invited to attend the colloquium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room 900 of the Library Building.
The week concludes on the evening of April 20 with the annual Red and White Banquet, an event that honors accomplishments of Sierra Vista Campus clubs. For more information about tickets to the Red and White Banquet, email svstudentgov@cochise.edu.
