The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning‘s Lunch Lecture and Brown Bag series is presented each semester at the college’s campuses and centers. Weekly free lectures and presentations offer attendees the opportunity to hear fascinating stories and learn about a wide array of topics in a no-pressure environment.

This semester, lectures are presented on Mondays at the Benson Center, Tuesdays at the Douglas Government Center, located at 1012 N. G Ave., and Wednesdays at the Sierra Vista Campus in room 702. All lectures are from 12:10 to 1 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.

• “Growing Up on the Border” — Tuesday, April 9, Douglas Government Center
Christine Rhodes, Cochise County Recorder, has spent her entire life along the Mexican border. She will reflect on how she has enjoyed the experience, influences and drama of her life growing up on the border in southeast Arizona.

• “Butterflies, Beautiful and Bright” — Wednesday, April 10, Sierra Vista Campus
Pam Mowbray-Graeme will talk about how butterflies enrich our lives with their beautiful wings and the way they dance in the sky from flower to flower. Mowbray-Graeme brings to life their natural history and biology as well as host plants. She will also provide a handout about plants that attract butterflies.
