1002 soccer statsCochise College women’s soccer players are among the top in the nation in goals scored, assists and saves this year in conference play as of Wednesday, according to the NJCAA.

Talya De Leon leads Cochise and is tied for seventh in the nation with 11 goals scored, and Ivonne Cisneros is tied for 19th with seven goals for the Apaches this year against conference foes.

Cisneros is top among fellow Apaches and tied for sixth in the nation in assists with seven this year. Jennifer Calanche is tied for 25th with four and De Leon is tied for 43rd with three.

Cochise goalie Danielle Dunn is alone in ninth place in the nation for saves with 54 this year.

Cochise is 8-4 heading into Thursday’s matchup against Pima Community College. Game time is 2 p.m. at Bujalski Track and Field Complex, next to Barnes Field House on Fort Huachuca.

Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
