FORT HUACHUCA — The Cochise College women’s soccer team edged Pima on Thursday, scoring in the last five minutes of the game against the wind to win 1-0.
Cochise’s Jennifer Calanche took a shot from the right side of the goal that rebounded off Pima’s goalie, and Brooke Madden was ready to punch it in the corner of the net.
Cochise controlled much of the game, with six shots to Pima’s two. Cochise is now 9-4 on the season heading into Saturday’s game against Gateway, set for 3 p.m. at Douglas High School.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
