DOUGLAS — The Cochise College women’s basketball team extended its winning streak to six games Saturday with a 66-59 victory over Glendale Community College.
Destiny Amezquita led Cochise with 24 points, including four 3-pointers, and seven rebounds, while Te Oramae Solomon scored 16 and Tianna Brown had 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Cochise faces non-conference foe Quest Prep of Las Vegas at home on the Douglas Campus at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Admission to the game is free.
Before Christmas break, the Apaches travel to the Pima Tournament on Dec. 16-17 to face Western Texas and Gillette before returning to conference play in January.
