Cochise College women’s basketball player Destiny Amezquita was named ACCAC Player of the Week, announced Monday, for helping to lead the Apaches to their sixth straight win last week.
The Apaches upset nationally-ranked Arizona Western College 59-56 on Dec. 4, then defeated Glendale Community College 66-59 on Dec. 7.
Amezquita averaged 22.5 points, four rebounds and three assists per game during that stretch.
