PHOENIX — The Cochise College men’s basketball team lost in overtime to South Mountain Community College on Saturday, 105-99.
The Apaches led at the half, 45-40, but the Cougars came back in the second half, led by a game-high 28 points from Kevin Kelly.
For Cochise, Demitrius Balark finished with 25 points, Tim Jacobs had 20, LaBradford Sebree scored 14, Bryan Laws added 12 and Dane Pannell had 10.
The Apaches drop to 11-9 overall this season and 6-6 in conference play heading into two home games this week. Cochise hosts Mesa Community College on Wednesday and faces Eastern Arizona on Saturday. Both games tip off at 7:30 p.m. on the Douglas Campus.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
