TUCSON — The Cochise College men’s basketball team won a tight contest over Pima Community College on Saturday, 82-78.
Jordan Martin scored 23 points, including five 3-pointers, for Cochise, followed by Dane Pannell with 13, Bryan Laws with 11 and 10 apiece for Demitrius Balark and Tim Jacobs.
Antonio Penny added 12 assists.
Cochise is 9-11 in conference play and 14-14 overall. The Apaches’ final games of the regular season are at Phoenix College on Tuesday and at home against Scottsdale on Friday. Tipoff on Friday is set for 7:30 p.m. on the Douglas Campus.
The win clinched Cochise’s spot in the NJCAA Region I tournament, which begins Feb. 27.
