DOUGLAS — Early this decade, Americans became fascinated by forensic science after a show called “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” debuted on CBS.

Since then, the subjects of forensics and crime turned into a craze for shows all over television. CSI has spun off with two more shows in the franchise, while other networks have hopped on the crime drama bandwagon.

The fad couldn’t help but make its way into the classroom. At Cochise College, Janeen Crockett just finished teaching her third semester of forensic chemistry, and the class at the Douglas campus is already full for next semester.
