PHOENIX, Ariz. — Each year, the ACCAC conference showcases its sophomore baseball standouts in what is known as the ACCAC Sophomore All-Star Game. This year’s games were held at Brazell Field on the campus of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ in front of hundreds of spectators, coaches, and scouts. The Cochise Baseball team was well-represented this year, as a dozen Apaches packed their bags for GCU over the weekend.
The Division I All-Star Game took place on Saturday, September 28th, where the athletes were able to take part in batting practice, bullpen sessions, and other pre-game activities before the first pitch at 5:00 pm.

Cochise Baseball head coach Todd Inglehart mentioned he was pleased with his sophomore’s showing in the All-Star Game, and knows he will lean on their leadership during the upcoming 2025 regular season. The Apaches are currently in their fall season which includes scrimmages against Eastern Arizona, Pima, Chandler-Gilbert, and New Mexico Junior College, as well as high-profile club teams such as Baseball’s Next Level (BNL) and The Show (Tucson, AZ).
The Apaches will host BNL on Saturday, October 5th for a double-header scrimmage at Bo Hall Field beginning at 11:00 am.
