Twenty students recently completed the Cochise College Medical Assistant (MA) Program. Students received their pins and were recognized in a ceremony at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 9, at the Downtown Center.
The college recognized MA students’ accomplishments before family members, friends, and college administrators for completing the rigorous program that prepares them to take the medical assistant certification examination to become certified medical assistants.

I thought it would be complicated to be in a program like this,” he added. “I am very grateful for Margarita Loya, Lisa Reed, Arturo Chacon and Nickie Dannels. They have helped me grow a lot.”
Makaela Chamness gave the student address, and Diane Lee was the guest speaker. Program Coordinator Nickie Dannels, RN, BSN, welcomed guests and thanked friends and family members who encouraged and supported the candidates.
