MESA — The Cochise College men’s basketball team closed its season Thursday night with a 75-66 loss to Mesa Community College in the NJCAA Region I Division I tournament semifinal matchup.
Cochise, seeded fourth in the tournament, was up 37-35 at halftime against the top-seeded Thunderbirds, but the Apaches couldn’t keep the pace after the break.
Jordan Martin led with a game-high 29 points, followed by Tim Jacobs with 11 and Demitrius Balark with 10.
Cochise closes the season with a 15-16 overall record and one postseason honoree. Martin was named All-ACCAC Honorable Mention and Second Team All-Region.
