SIERRA VISTA — The Cochise College Small Business Development Center has partnered with the Sierra Vista Chamber of Commerce and the Sierra Vista Herald to offer the third annual Women in Business Conference.

This year’s free conference, themed “Woman 2 Woman,” is from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, on the Cochise College Sierra Vista Campus. Two different tracks will be offered: one for professional development and the other for personal development.

The day begins in the library commons area to reveal the new looks of the winners of the “Your Best Look For Fall Makeover Contest,” sponsored by Dillard’s and Today’s Look Salon, followed by Keynote Speaker Cheryl Oliver with “How to ‘Effectively’ Network.”

The conference then breaks for attendees to explore the Vendor Hall of 40 booths, practice networking skills and have lunch at the Union Cafe, open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the campus Student Union.

The final two hours break off into the two different tracks. The professional development track speakers will be Eileen Shenker, with “Customer $ervice Matters,” and Connie Grady with “Bookkeeping Basics.” The personal development track speakers will be Dr. Maria Church with “Love-Based Leadership: A Holistic Approach to Increasing Profits, Motivating Your Team, and Turning Your Clients into Raving Fans,” and Elaine Taylor with “Work/Life Balance – What are the Possibilities?”

Seating is limited and registration is required. Register by contacting Rachel Norton with the Cochise College SBDC at (520) 515-5478 or nortonr@cochise.edu.
