IMG_1862DOUGLAS — The Cochise College baseball team swept Paradise Valley Community College on Tuesday, 7-2 and 5-2.

Steve Naemark earned the win for Cochise in game one, allowing two runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out four in six innings.

Paradise Valley scored a run in the third and the Apaches responded in the bottom of the inning to tie it before exploding for three runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth.

Francisco Silva led Cochise at the plate, going 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Darick Hall held Paradise Valley to two runs on two hits and no walks while striking out two in the complete nine innings.

Ewusie was 2 for 4 at the plate with an RBI and Nick Borowski was 2 for 4 with a run scored for Cochise, which improved to 31-23 overall heading into its final conference matchup of the regular season.

The Apaches travel to Central Arizona on Saturday for a noon doubleheader.
