Sculptor Christina West will visit both Cochise College main campuses next month for workshops and presentations for students and open to the general public.

On Oct. 9, West will offer a workshop and presentation from 9 to 11 a.m. in room 405 on the Sierra Vista Campus and from 12:15 to 3 p.m. on the Douglas Campus. On Oct. 10, her presentation begins at 10 a.m. in room 401 on the Sierra Vista Campus.

West is a sculptor living in Atlanta, where she is also an assistant professor of art at Georgia State University. She earned her MFA from Alfred University and has exhibited work in the Bellevue Arts Museum in Washington, The Bemis Center for Contemporary Art in Nebraska and the Arizona State University Art Museum Ceramic Research Center in Tempe.
