Grand Opening

NOGALES — The Santa Cruz County Provisional Community College District Governing Board will celebrate the grand opening of its new building from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9. The open house will include presentations, tours and refreshments.

The new 28,000-square-foot facility, formerly a call center, is located at 2021 N. Grand Avenue in Nogales. The new home of the Nogales/Santa Cruz Center has 12 classrooms, three computer labs, a science lab, nursing lab, room for tutoring and an interactive television (ITV) room.

Cochise College classes have been offered in Nogales since 2003, thanks to an agreement with the Santa Cruz County Provisional Community College District. Prior to the new center, classes and offices were located primarily at the old county courthouse in Nogales, as well as nearby high schools and community centers.
