The Cochise College women’s soccer team won a thriller in overtime Thursday, beating Mesa 1-0.
The teams were scoreless at the end of regulation and through the first 10 minutes of extra time. Taylor Kruse scored in the 100th minute, just 13 seconds into the second period of the sudden-death OT, to win the game for Cochise.
The Apaches are now 7-3-1 overall and in conference play this year heading into Saturday’s game at South Mountain. Cochise returns home Tuesday against Phoenix at 3 p.m.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
