Cochise College women’s basketball player Destiny Amezquita was awarded Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors on Jan. 12 for her role in the Apaches’ two wins last week.
The Apaches defeated South Mountain Community College 76-19 on Wednesday and Phoenix College 69-66 on Saturday.
In the two games, Amezquita averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3 steals and 3.5 assists per game.
