The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning‘s Brown Bag Lecture Series is presented each semester at the college’s campuses and centers. Weekly free lectures and presentations offer attendees the opportunity to hear fascinating stories and learn about a wide array of topics in a no-pressure environment.
This semester, lectures are presented on Mondays at the Benson Center, every other Tuesday at the Douglas Government Center, located at 1012 N. G Ave., and Wednesdays at the Sierra Vista Campus in room 702. All lectures are from 12:10 to 1 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.
Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning winter Brown Bag Lunch presentations will offer some interesting and informative programs. Presentations are held at the Cochise College Benson Center; the Douglas Government Center and Cochise College Sierra Vista Campus, Room 702.
• “Sons of Confederate Veterans” – Monday, March 24, Benson Center
Curtis Tipton, a Sons of Confederate Veterans 25-year member, will be attired in uniform and focus on Private Osgood Knox Jones, a soldier in the 15th Virginia Cavalry Regiment. Through this private’s story, you will get a picture of the typical Confederate soldier. Tipton will have weapons (no ammunition), personal items and rations usually carried by soldiers for viewing.

“Our India Adventure” – Wednesday, March 26, Sierra Vista Campus, room 702
Sheila DeVoe Heidman and Rebecca Orozco will share their Christmas 2013 India adventure. India is a country of color, chaos and excitement. It is the world’s largest democracy and is home to 1.2 billion people. The civilizations are some of the world’s earliest. Share the incredible images from Sheila and Rebecca’s Christmas journey.
