The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning‘s Brown Bag Lecture Series is presented each semester at the college’s campuses and centers. Weekly free lectures and presentations offer attendees the opportunity to hear fascinating stories and learn about a wide array of topics in a no-pressure environment.

This semester, lectures are presented on Mondays at the Benson Center, every other Tuesday at the Douglas Government Center, located at 1012 N. G Ave., and Wednesdays at the Sierra Vista Campus in room 702. All lectures are from 12:10 to 1 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.

Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning winter Brown Bag Lunch presentations will offer some interesting and informative programs. Presentations are held at the Cochise College Benson Center; the Douglas Government Center and Cochise College Sierra Vista Campus, Room 702.

• “True Children’s Books” – Monday, March 31, Benson Center
Suzanne M. Malpass (Rogers) is an author of true children’s books. Each book features an animal rescue with a happy ending. Learn about Suzanne’s writing adventures.

• “Raising Beef” – Tuesday, April 1, Douglas Government Center
Barb Sherry, owner of Star Bar Ranch, will present a program about grass-fed beef, the organic process involved to raise it correctly, and the associated costs. Are the health benefits worth the cost? You be the judge.

• “Renaissance House” – Wednesday, April 2, Sierra Vista Campus, room 702
Lou Ann Sterbick-Nelson will talk about The Renaissance House, a residential non-profit drug and alcohol treatment center for homeless women serving four Southeastern Arizona Counties. In Bisbee, Renaissance House owns and operates Belleza Fine Art Gallery. Lou Ann will raise awareness of all the activities and efforts of this valuable center.
