Douglas, AZ — In its second home game of the season, the Cochise College women’s basketball team earned another victory, beating Chandler-Gilbert CC 64-50.
Sophia Elenga had a monster game with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Coulter Bowlen wasn’t far behind with 15 points and 6 rebounds, and Guadalupe Chao had 14 points and 8 rebounds, while dishing out 3 assists.
Jordyn Penniman chipped in 9 points, while Tatyana McFarland pulled down 12 boards. Cochise shot 44% from the field as a team and put on a dominant performance in front of its home crowd by beating Chandler-Gilbert on the boards 47-23.
The victory moves Cochise to a 7-1 overall record and a 3-0 conference clip going into December. Cochise will resume play on Wednesday, December 2nd with an away game at Eastern Arizona College.
