The Cochise College women’s soccer team is pleased to announce the signing of two student-athletes for the fall of 2016. These women are the first of many to join on with the Lady Apaches as Cochise continues efforts to strengthen its team.
Yasmeen Maddaford, a defender/midfielder from El Paso, Texas will look to fortify the back line for the Apaches this upcoming fall. Yasmeen attended Andress High School and played club ball with the Southwest Rush U18 out of El Paso. Yasmeen was an integral part of a club team that were champions at the FC Dallas and Real Colorado Showcase. She also garnered runners-up finishes at the Albion Showcase and WCDA, while being named a Player to Watch for at the Albion Showcase. The Apaches look forward to Yasmeen joining the team and making a positive contribution to the continued success of the program.
Tamika Aguilar, a midfielder from Las Vegas, NV will look to solidify a spot in midfield this upcoming fall for the Apaches. Tamika attended Coronado High School and played for Players SC and Legends FC. Named captain of her club team, Tamika was also the leading goal scorer for both her high school and club teams. Tamika also earned the Coaches Award (freshman year), MVP (sophomore year), and the Most Valuable Left-Midfield award with her club team. The Apaches are looking forward to Tamika having a positive impact on the team.
