
Apaches face Northwestern
Cochise College Apaches jumped out to an early lead on Colorado Northwestern and captured a 10-2 victory on Friday at Douglas, AZ.
Seven runs in the first three innings allowed Cochise College Apaches to put the game away early.
In their second game facing Northwestern, Cochise College Apaches lost 5-3 despite outhitting Colorado Northwestern eight to six.
After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the seventh, Cochise College Apaches faced just a 4-3 deficit. A groundout by Canice Ejoh and a two-run triple by Logan Bottrell sparked Cochise College Apaches’ rally. Colorado Northwestern stopped the rally after Zach Hoffman got Luis Hidalgo to fly out.
After the loss, Cochise College Apaches and Colorado Northwestern exchanged the lead four times on Saturday, but Cochise College Apaches ended up on top with a 5-4 win in seven innings over Colorado Northwestern.
In their final game against Northwestern, Cochise College Apaches beat Colorado Northwestern 11-3 on Saturday thanks to a five-run eighth inning.
Cochise College Apaches scored in the eighth on a two-run double by Jakub Ondracek, an RBI double by Logan Bottrell, and a two-run double by Taggert Baxter.
