Student musicians, vocalists, dancers, and visual artists will share their talents with the public during the Cochise College Spring Arts Festival scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 2 at the Sierra Vista Campus.
The free event is a celebration of all the arts and cultural opportunities available at the college. It includes musical performances, art demonstrations, a student art show, and activities for kids. Activities are scheduled as follows:
Outdoor Entertainment, Campus Quad
- 1 p.m. – World drumming
- 1:30 p.m. – Guitar ensemble
- 2 p.m. – Folklorico dancing
- 2:30 p.m. – Concert band
- 2:45 p.m. – Quartetto Cochise/Arig Bilal
- 3 p.m. – Chamber Choir
- 3:25 p.m. – Missa Palatina (Chamber Choir, Bi-national Chorus, Quartetto Cochise)
- 3:35 p.m. – Bi-national chorus
Indoor Entertainment, Andrea Cracchiolo Library
- 1 p.m. – Piano/drums
- 2:15 p.m. – Guitar Ensemble
- 3 p.m. – Quartetto Cochise/Piano
The event also includes activities for kids and others, including face painting, jumping castles, masks, chalk competition, coloring mural, and a pottery wheel set-up. In addition, visitors can browse and buy student artwork, including original ceramics, paintings, and photography.
