The Cochise College soccer team traveled to Prescott to face the Yavapai Roughriders. 

The Apaches were looking to bounce back after a loss against Phoenix College. The Roughriders scored early in the game when Emma Alvarez found the back of the net in the 5th minute. The rest of the first half was an up-and-back battle. The first half ended with a score of 1-0 for Yavapai. 

The Apaches bounced back with an early goal in the first half when Maria Azarias (Santa Catarina, Brazil) chipped the goalkeeper with her left foot. The tie did not last for too long, and Roughriders took advantage of the loose ball in front of the goal making it 2-1. The Apaches had a couple of good opportunities, but the Yavapai goalkeeper was up to the task. In the 70th minute, the Roughriders increased the lead to 3-1. The last goal of the match was scored with five minutes left to play and made the score final, 4-1 for the Roughriders from Yavapai. 

The loss puts the Apaches’ record to 6-4-1 and 2-2-1 in the ACCAC conference.
