DOUGLAS — The Cochise College men’s and women’s basketball teams remained unbeaten at home and in conference on Saturday night as each routed Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

The Cochise men blew out the Coyotes 103-68, led by Tevin Caldwell with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Jerry Duckworth with 16 points on four 3-pointers,

The Apaches, 6-1 overall and 2-0 in conference, are off until Nov. 28 when they play at South Mountain. The men are at home next on Dec. 1 against Mesa and Dec. 5 against Eastern Arizona.

Earlier Saturday, the Cochise women remained unbeaten on the season, crushing Chandler-Gilbert 96-59. Tianna Brown had 19 points, Johnishia Welles 18, Yvonte Neal 12 and Ashley Mitchell and Jasmine Lemon had 11 each.

At 5-0 overall and 2-0 in conference, the Apaches head to a two-day tournament at Arizona Western College on Friday. The women then play at South Mountain on Nov. 28 before returning home to the Douglas Campus on Dec. 1 against Mesa and Dec. 5 against Eastern Arizona.

Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
