PHOENIX — The Cochise College women’s soccer team fell to Paradise Valley Community College in the semifinals of the NJCAA Region I tournament Thursday, 5-1.
Paradise Valley, seeded first in the tournament and ranked second in the nation, scored in the second, 32nd, 36th, 44th and 46th minute before Katey Ward put Cochise on the board in the 77th minute on an assist by Ivonne Cisneros.
The loss ends Cochise’s season with a 12-10 record. The Apaches graduate seven sophomores, including two all-conference and all-region performers.
