THATCHER — The Cochise College men’s basketball team beat Eastern Arizona College 99-93 on Wednesday night.
Jordan Martin came off the bench to score 26 points, Demitrius Balark added 19, and Antonio Penny and Tim Jacobs had 11 apiece.
“It was up-tempo in the sense that we pushed it, though we didn’t press much,” Cochise head coach Jerry Carrillo told the Sierra Vista Herald. “They had some guys who could play and score. We played a lot of zone and they still shot 40 free-throws.”
The Apaches led 48-39 at the half and improved to 2-1 in the conference and 3-4 overall heading into Saturday night’s game against Tohono O’odham at 7:30 p.m. on the Douglas Campus. Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
