SCOTTSDALE — The Cochise College women’s basketball team defeated Scottsdale Community College 77-56 on Wednesday.
The win improved the Apaches to 12-6 overall this season and 7-4 in conference play.
“We did a good job executing offensively, but we need to be more consistent on defense,” Cochise head coach Laura Hughes told the Sierra Vista Herald.
The Apaches were led by Destiny Amezquita with 18 points, followed by Jessica Almeida with 12 and Joy Boss with nine.
Cochise is on the road again this Saturday at South Mountain. The Apaches return home to the Douglas Campus on Wednesday against Mesa and Jan. 25 against Eastern Arizona. Both games start at 5:30 p.m.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games
