SCOTTSDALE — The Cochise College men’s basketball team lost by one point to Scottsdale Community College on Wednesday night.
The 88-87 loss to the Artichokes drops the Apaches to 11-8 overall and 6-5 in conference games this season.
“When it comes down to the last possession, you can’t give a team so many opportunities,” Cochise head coach Jerry Carrillo told the Sierra Vista Herald.
Tim Jacobs led the Apaches with 23 points, six assists and five rebounds. Ronald Singleton scored 13, followed by Demitrius Balark and Antonio Penny with 12 points apiece. LaBradford Sebree had 11 points, Oliver Guerrero scored 10 and Bryan Laws added eight rebounds.
Cochise looks to bounce back Saturday at South Mountain. The Apaches return home to the Douglas Campus on Wednesday against Mesa and Jan. 25 against Eastern Arizona. Both home games tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
