DOUGLAS — The Cochise College men’s basketball team lost to nationally-ranked Mesa Community College on Wednesday night, 82-59.
Ronald Singleton led Cochise with 14 points, Tim Jacobs had 13 points and 10 assists, and LaBradford Sebree scored 11 off the bench.
The Thunderbirds are ranked 20th in the NJCAA Division I poll. Cochise is now 6-7 in conference games and 11-10 overall.
Next up for the Apaches is Eastern Arizona College at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on the Douglas Campus, followed by a road game at Tohono O’odham on Jan. 29. Cochise is back home Feb. 1 for a 7:30 p.m. game against Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
