IMG_9787DOUGLAS — The Cochise College men’s basketball team fell to Eastern Arizona College on Saturday, 88-79.

LaBradford Sebree led the Apaches with 22 points, followed by Tim Jacobs with 14, Bryan Laws with 12, Ronald Singleton with 11 and Demitrius Balark with 10.

Eastern’s Dominique Hunter led the Gila Monsters with 35 points and Taylor Stafford added 30.

“We were down by nine at halftime and cut it down to three numerous times,” Cochise head coach Jerry Carrillo told the Sierra Vista Herald. “But we couldn’t get a stop. They’d either hit a three or drive and get a layup. Right now, we can’t get one.”

Cochise is 11-11 overall and 6-8 in conference play heading into Wednesday’s game at Tohono O’odham. The Apaches return home Saturday against Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Tipoff on the Douglas Campus is set for 7:30 p.m.

Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
