DOUGLAS — The Cochise College men’s basketball team defeated Central Arizona College on Wednesday night, 80-76.
Jordan Martin and Ronald Singleton each scored a team-high 19 points. Dane Pannell added eight.
“We’d lost a lot of games in a row, but it’s a credit to these guys and to our program that we didn’t throw in the towel,” Cochise head coach Jerry Carrillo told the Sierra Vista Herald. “I think these guys believe they’re better than their record and they haven’t stopped working.”
The Apaches are 13-14 overall and 8-11 in conference play heading into their final three games of the regular season. On Saturday, Cochise is at Pima for a 4 p.m. matchup, followed by a road game against Phoenix College on Tuesday.
The Apaches return home for the regular-season finale against Scottsdale at 7:30 p.m Feb. 21. Admission is free.
